Oskomera Home Solar (OHS) is engaged in marketing large quantities of solar panel systems for private individuals. OHS, a subsidiary of Oskomera Solar Power Solutions, achieves this through entering into partnerships with larger organizations, which make it possible for their employees or clients to use solar power in their private homes. This activity started in 2012 and the reactions are already overwhelming.

Employees at OHS are of the opinion that everyone in the Netherlands should have access to solar energy. A huge 73% of Dutch citizens have indicated a desire to generate their own power. However, investing in a system of this kind and having it installed is an elaborate process that is confusing for a large proportion of them. OHS is able to remove these obstacles. They take care of buyers' cares by adhering to a transparent working method in which the process of customer registration through to actual installation of a solar panel system is arranged in a convenient manner.

Partnership

"We don't do this in the usual way", explains director Jan Roelof Stienstra. "OHS enters into partnership with larger organizations to implement the use of solar energy. KPN, with whom we recently concluded a contract, will be encouraging its employees to install solar panel systems on their private homes. The underlying idea is to get its employees involved in making business operations more sustainable. KPN is pursuing this even further, however, by encouraging and advising its customers how to invest in solar energy. OHS partnership A private solar PV supply or commercial proposition combined with own products and services is also the perfect match for organizations such as Oskomera Group clients, energy companies or large installation companies that purchase systems and sell them under their own name. What we do not do is sell directly to private individuals". This same idea won OHS the tender for the Dutch Homeowners Association (VEH). VEH organized the 123 solar energy special purchase offer for its members. After a stringent selection process OHS will now be able to make 2500 members of VEH happy with their own solar energy systems this summer.

Total unburdening

"That's all very well you might say, but what exactly does OHS do?" Stienstra continues. "We unburden our customers! We create concepts with the partner with whom we conclude an agreement. We assist with communications to personnel or in providing customers with information, build a webshop to reflect the look&feel of that partner, and put together a package and service tailored to the target group. All customer queries, transactions and contracts are fully taken care of by us. Our partner does not have to do any of the work". "We then examine the home for technical aspects and offer financing concepts. We also provide the engineering, supply, assembly and installation, monitor the system, provide aftercare, customer service and long-term warranties. How simple can it be?" OHS therefore makes it possible for organizations to offer their end customers solar energy systems. They achieve this by using a White label unburdening concept: the quality of the system to be supplied must be good. And it is good, because OHS works exclusively with the best quality installations (panels, transformers) and monitoring equipment. With a decade of experience in realising large and small-scale solar energy projects, Oskomera Solar Power Solutions (OSPS) is backed by unrivalled capability when it comes to supplying solar energy products. By making use of its existing distribution network, the private market sector can also benefit from this knowledge and experience.

Extensive product range

"Many customers, many requirements," says Stienstra. "That is why OHS has launched a number of different concepts on the market, to serve many different customer groups. From purchase to lease, large to small, DIY to full service. Even private PV projects are possible. Moreover, investing in solar energy has become highly attractive as a result of rising oil prices".

OHS may just have started, but the interest is huge. Currently, fifteen employees work at the company but this number will certainly be increasing over the coming months in view of the tremendous interest.
