Apprenticeships
Oskomera devotes a great deal of attention to the training of young people. Core elements here are local students (guided tours), MBO architecture and WtB students (orientation apprenticeship and graduation apprenticeship) and TU bouwkunde (work students, international apprenticeships and graduates). This is how Oskomera believes it can enthuse young people at an early stage about the versatility that wall technology has to offer. Interfaces with our Steel Construction or Solar departments are also possible and occur regularly due to the project-based work environment.
In early 2009, Oskomera was certified by Fundeon as a recognised learning company for the Middenkaderfunctionaris Bouw (construction middle management) training course. Oskomera offers BOL4 students the option to follow an (orientation) apprenticeship at various operating companies.

The participants can be employed by the Oskomera Group on the basis of an apprenticeship contract in order to gain experience in our company. Participants are deployed on the basis of the knowledge possessed and personal interests to perform different tasks in the profession of work planner/drawer. For one student this may be project supporting work, but sometime consciously choose to study all the facets of a project. This gives them an excellent view of the possibilities offered by the profession, and this is a valuable supplement in the search for a satisfying job.
During the work the participants are supervised by an experienced employee, and a practical supervisor also ensures that the level of the apprenticeship place is also maintained. The practical trainers were recently trained by Fundeon and are therefore fully aware of the criteria that an apprenticeship must meet.
During the (graduation) apprenticeship the participants are involved in all Oskomera activities. Subjects such as work consultation, planning reporting are covered, which is apparently very useful for the students.
The participants are regarded by us as our ‘own’ employees, receive our staff magazine and participate in the activities that are organised by the staff association. We are also certified as a learning company for other professions by Kenteq. We offer an (orientation) apprenticeship or a graduation apprenticeship to our participants from the VMBO, MBO and the HBO. These participants are, where possible, supervised by one of our practical supervisors.
