Elementz, which is part of the Oskomera Group, is working towards ‏the realisation of the new five-star Hilton Hotel in the centre of The Hague. The former head office of the PTT used to be situated on the corner of the Zeestraat and the Mauritskade. This building was stripped to its shell and is currently being expanded and transformed into the new Hilton Hotel.

Part of the building will contain 193 rooms and there will be apartments on the fifth and sixth floors as well as two penthouses on the top floors. The overall shape of the building is square and it encloses an inner area.
The vast majority of the floors’ redbrick outer walls are complete with small, simple door casings fitted with French balconies and in some cases sun screens. On the ground floor (in the new arcade), large and partially arched facades have been realised and large curtain-wall constructions occupy an important, eye-catching place. The outer walls of the penthouses on the roof have been constructed almost entirely from glass. In the inner area, there is a roof garden with a continuous roof light at the same level as the second floor. A projecting glass circular corridor has been realised along the inner walls of the sixth floor.
