The Vredenburg music centre in Utrecht, renamed as the Muziekpaleis, is undergoing a radical conversion and expansion. For example, four new halls will be added, and they will be ‘captive’ inside a large rectangular ‘box’. The contribution of DRL Benelux to this project is the construction of the glass sections of all of the walls and the roof of the surrounding new construction, and also the replacement of part of the facades of the building that is preserved. A significant number of requirements in terms of noise reduction, fire resistance and aesthetic values stipulated by the architect make this a complex project. A leading project that requires expertise, and therefore another perfect opportunity for DRL Benelux to display its quality.

  • 4.300 m2 DRL curtain wall
  •    200 m2 fire-resistant DRL curtain wall, CW60-DRL-EI30
  •    460 m2 aluminium windows and doors
  •    150 number of round aluminium windows and round roof lights
  •      50 m2 aluminium rain screen cladding
  •      30 m2 steel windows and doors 60 minutes fire proof
  •      30 m2 aluminium roof lights
