Oskomera TKI 755 remains in control of fire, even after an hour

Façade-systems with high thermal insulation will conquer tomorrows market. Europe’s best insulating system, Oskomera TKI 755 HI+, is as of now also available in a fire-resistant edition. Invisible protection against fire can impose major surplus value in those projects where only a small portion of the façade has to be fire-resistant.

During a fire test, it was proven that the two prototypes of Oskomera TKI755 could easily keep the fire from spreading. Only after more than 77 minutes, the fire could break through. By using glazing with an intumescent layer (Contraflam Lite 30 by Vetrotech) and excellent insulation inside the aluminum hollows, Oskomera was able to keep temperatures below 180 degrees Celsius during 33 minutes. The official classification of these prototypes is EW60 and EI30. More precise; the system is capable of resisting fire from inside to outside, tested using the standard temperature/time curve. Of course the test was carried out according to European standard EN-1364-1:1999. This also covers the Dutch standard NEN 6069.

Test sample sizes have been chosen storey-high. Smaller sizes may be used based upon the obtained testresults, because they are described in the direct field of application (EN 15254-4). This clears the path towards easy approval by the regarding authorities.

Oskomera TKI-755 is also an excellent choice for regular, non fire-resistant, facades. The extremely high insulating edition, Oskomera TKI-HI+, is ahead of the market of aluminum glazing systems, while the price is definitely competitive.
